I would recommend picking a brand name type of baby food. With all the problems going around with contaminated food, you have to hope that a big name company test all their food before they sell it.

I found that Gerber had the most selections to choose from, not to mention that you have a better chance of getting coupons for gerber products over the other brand names. Make sure that you start out with strained vegetables and or fruits. Do not feed your baby more than one new food in a three day time span to be sure of alergic reacations.

My daughter is seven months old. I try to make sure I get a good variety: both vegetables and fruits. Hopefully this makes sure she is getting the nutrients she needs. I've always heard that a good selection of colors means a good selection of nutrients. Some types require freezing/refrigeration, I avoid these so I can throw the food in my purse when I go out.

If good food is supplied then only the brand becomes popular.Brands are very important when it comes to babies as we can't take any chances.Big companies don't take chances in changing their methods.I prefer Brands than normal packs.Also the vitamins,proteins minerals and all the necessary materials should be provided for healthy growth of the baby.Go with natural food first.they have all the ingredients required.

I found my children liked food that I did not generally enjoy. I tried blueberry, spinach, beets and others that they really enjoyed. The brighter in color the the better. Raw was also a big hit like raw broccoli which we called trees! The thin baby carrots are easy to hold in tiny hands. Just be creative and even if you do not care for it as an adult the little ones may love it!

Avoid too many chocolates and ice creams. Biscuits are good a choice. Decide on a balanced diet and include small cut fruits and juices in the diet. Breast milk is good for babies. Cerelac, cornflakes are good options as well.

my choice for baby food was to buy organic fresh fruits and vegetables and puree them myself. I would do this in the summer and freeze them in ice cube trays. Once they were frozen I would seal them in freezer ziplock bags and keep in freezer with name of food and date pureed.
When you want to feed your baby, just take a couple of cubes and defrost them in the microwave, and heat until lukewarm.
I felt my son was getting better food by my pureeing organic foods myself as I knew what was going into his food.

I would recommend taking a brand name of baby food.which contains all the minerals and natural ingredients. many problems occurs due to contaminated food,so that y u have to pick a branded company product which is tested and certified pure.

There are so many things to consider when purchasing baby foods, but in today's market there is much to choose from. You can usually find something that will fit you and your baby's needs. If not, baby food is actually very easy to make. I use Gerber foods and have been very happy with it. I find that the consistency is good for what ever stage your baby is at. You can buy organic if that is important to you.
Keep to single fruits and vegetables at first and the cereals (rice and oatmeal have worked best for me) as well. Make sure you wait 5 days after trying something new to make sure there isn't an allergy. Try to stay away from juices because of the sugars in them. Start your baby on water to get them started on a healthy life. I don't know how many kids I see who only drink juice and a lot of it and have problems with their teeth and weight. A baby doesn't know what juice is and knows no difference.

Keep an open mind. I would suggest that you go with a brand that you have researched and know. Gerber is popular, but I preferred BeechNut. Based on my own personal research, this brand has fewer additives and the price made it a better value. It also has flavor combinations and food consistencies that my kids preferred over Gerber. Try a few out and see how your child reacts to the flavor, texture and how well they digest the baby food that you give them. You may find that a brand you didn't think you would ever buy may be the very best food for your little one!

my tip for buying baby food when the baby is ready, is to buy one of each of many different and when feeding time then give to baby and see their reaction and if there is others you'd like to try the try and mix some of the ones they like with some news ones like turkey with corn and so on. dont be scared to throw away the ones they dont like and try again in a month and see the reaction. so dont be scared to throw some out and get the ones the baby loves!!

The best baby food is the kind you make yourself. You need a food grinder and ice cube trays. You can throw an avocado and a banana in your diaper bag whole and you have snacks for you and the baby just that quickly. Food cubes in a tupperware container melt on the way to where you are going. Food you make is cheaper than food you buy.
