Government Shouldn't Be Able to Come Up With a Quick Law to Tax AIG Bonus
I don't agree with the idea that the Government can pass a bill with the lightning speed it did to tax these bonus 90%, Our government should not have the authority to tax any revenue at 90%. If the money AIG is using to pay this bonus, was from the bailout money, why cant they just tell, you can not use this money for bonus or any additional wages. I can offer some advice where to save money on federally funded projects, instead of making contractors pay a masons 61.20 per hour when 25.00 per hour of those wages go the union. Have them pay regular wages plus health insurance and savings account for their employees. That would be a lot of extra millions that could be saved from tax payers pockets. If the government can tell a contractor you must pay this amount to employees, why cant it do the same to AIG.
