Waikiki Parking Tips
A fun beach right next to downtown Honolulu makes parking a bit harder than many other beaches. If you come into town by car, here are some parking tips to make your life easier.
If you want to enjoy the nice calm shallow beach that is perfect for children, park at the Honolulu Zoo. It's public parking area is just across the street from the pier, which starts the enclosed shallow Waikiki beach. Parking is $1 an hour and you can add time to your ticket by calling 1-877-PARK-719. You'll need your license plate number when you acquire your parking pass.
Ready to shop at the International Market Place? Park at the Ohana East parking structure. It charges $7 flat fee for 10 hours. And it's quite possible to find a parking spot right next to the entrance. The International Market Place is right next door, just past Denny's Restaurant.
